I am thinking about going to work for Melton. Is this a wise choice? I have heard good things. It's either Melton or pgt. What's the average miles per week? Are the trucks double bunks? Any info on Melton would be appreciated
Any info on Melton?

Bill left Melton in January this year. They have good and bad points like any company, however; I do know that they do not have top bunks in their tractors. Good luck if you choose them!
His average miles were not that great. I started a thread called Melton, orientation and beyond... which chronicled our experience there. Sometimes decisions are made out of frustration like our decision to leave, which may not have been the wisest idea, but at the time we were convinced it was. I really don't think they are that bad of a company. Best of luck to you!

Thanks for the reply. I have been driving for 3 years now 1 year was flatbed the past 2 were dry van. I'm just bored with dry van and need a change. I have offers from maverick, Melton, pgt, ats and Boyd bros. I really do not know who to choose now. PGT's main terminal is about 5 min from my house and melton has the Youngstown terminal about 45 min away from the house. Decisions decisions
