The door weight is 18,400... but I ditched the cab fairing years ago... it's a 260", 63" raised roof, 10 aluminums.
I'd like to get the weight down to about 17,000 with a 1/4 tank of fuel.

Kind? I dunno... 6" turnouts... they were at 14' when I bought the truck... got too many looks at the cops so i cut 'em down 18"....
-
Found this. I wonder what makes it so light? It's an 18 speed and has the big air compressor too, I would think those would add a little weight.

I just bought a new 2011 53' Great Dane Super Seal with a Thermo King SB 210+. The trailer weighed 12,380 lbs from the factory without the unit. When I picked the trailer up, I weighed the rig, both full of fuel, and it weighed 36,000. My truck is an 2007 379 Pete, 275" wheelbase and 70" sleeper. I haven't weighed just the trailer yet, but when I do, I'll let you know what it weighs.
Mr. PlumCrazy Thanks this. -
Dunno...it has Eaton rears which are heavier than Rockwells... the Classic III interior is a little lighter... must have lighter axles/hubs? My Pete has 24.5's... this one is 22.5's I believe. Those Donaldson air cleaners are smaller/lighter than Vortox...maybe aluminum crossmembers.
It's about the same as my tractor... -
Them dual air compressors are worthless and very very very did I say very expensive! Not to mention heavy.
I was gonna say if you want to get rid of them let me know. I got truck issues right at this moment but I may be interested in them. -
Yeah, I was just pointing out that it and the 18 speed might make it a little heavier than most. What's worthless about them? Do they not build up air any faster? I don't have any experience with then, or do anything that I'd need one for.

My old FLD had a compressor the size of the average Toyota engine... 0 to 120 lbs in about 45 seconds...

Like Krooser said, they are fast! But they don't last. The one my dad had on his was only on there 3 yrs(?) and at a cost of around $5700, it should've lasted 30 yrs!

A $5700 air compressor? What kind was it I have a Volvo with dual piston. Intake line broke and trash got in it when you shut off the engine air blead back through it. But its only $1098 now labor is a different story dont know how much that will run
