OK so I just found Out I passed my HPE and will be in Conover, NC on Sept 27th. But I did forget to ask a question, I did ask Roxy before and she wasn't sure and I don't want to have to call back to ask ANOTHER question today lol I pretty sure everyone that answers phones in Missoula knows who I am haha.
So my question is, How big of an inverter to they allow?
I not planing on getting anything huge, I just don't want to buy a 2500 Watt inverter, and come to find out they only allow 1500 watts lol.
Are there any specific types or brands they want or Don't want?
Thanks!

i was told the first day i talked to them and asked, that they have apu's on most of the trucks...is that accurate? then you wouldnt have to worry about inverters, would you?

i donno.......

APU does not equal...power supply.

I can attest to this fact. I once took a furniture load from Myrtle, MS to Lakewood, WA with a stop in Spokane. Both stops were terminal stops..
So, I was running low on hours when I took the load, told my inbound and outbound dispatcher that I would need a reset along the way. So, I'm on my 34 in St. Joseph, and I get a QC from someone askng, "why am I still in Missouri" I later found out that it was the terminal manager in Lakewood looking at the GPS to see where I was at with his precious furniture....
As for inverters, I personally have a 2000 watt one that they installed without even batting an eye. I was told 2500 is the max, but you may want to ask someone in charge before buying one....and some APU's = electricity. My first truck had a blackrock APU and it had a 110 outlet built into the truck...but blackrock has since gone out of business and as the current ones die, they don't have many replacement parts...American-Trucker Thanks this. -
Never mind.......was already answered! lol

My truck had a BlackRock and 2 outlets.
I used a 6 ft extension cord to connect those outlets to my invertor, which was connected to the batteries. -
Well, yeah..2 outlets, built into one recepticle....the kind that's in a house. I wasn't very clear

Okay...maybe I wasn't clear.
Speaking in those terms. I had 4 outlets in 2 receptacles.
