JB HUNT has only 3 terminals where you can drop off or get a LP truck. Yes they are the worn out company trucks they sell you. I was company driver for around 3 years. Some years mileage not that great. Lately though they usually average company drivers 2,700 miles. HOWEVER they have cut everyone to about 32 cents a mile. Even people that have been with them forever so a lot of them are also hanging up the keys not just LP people.
LP people are lucky to get over 1,500 miles except for the first 3 weeks. Just because you run a bunch of miles you still probably will get a $50 check per week being LP with JB Hunt. I suggest you stay company or starve. I saw LP people dropping trucks in Atlanta every weekend. Probably as many as they sign on every week.

I have just got my title from jb for completeing the lease purchase program.

Would you care to go into further detail as to how long it took, what kind of area and the type of freight you hauled, and how was the experience as far as making money and home time were. Lastly, would you do it again.
You would be doing a great service to many on this board by giving facts from someone that actually has done this, and completed the lease.
Congradulations on getting your title. The Challenger, alex94 and JimTheHut Thank this. -
What happened to all that "leader of the industry" crap?
They used to brag about having the highest payscale, at .40 cpm, on up. -
So..the day we got our title was a couple of months ago. Didn't have to watch our back. The company even took us in the boardroom and had a talk with us and wanted to know if we would like our truck painted for doing them such a good job. We agreed (who wouldn't) and now we have one of the prettiest freightliner centurys in the nation. If you would like to see pics of it just look on my facebook page or follow keystruckergal on twitter.
