Sorry to hear that. I brought my load of minced onions to be repowered so I can head up NW for hometime. Silly maintenance red tagged my tractor and the trailer....don't they have any thing better to do....like fix things.
May be there is a new bonus program based on who can generate the most in -house business....more redtags,,,more moolah.

 

Don't know if things have drastically slowed down, or if my company is just pissed at the remarks I made and punishing me. Preplans seem to be non-existant and miles really down right now. Thats ok tho, I have a slush fund and can afford to ride it out. May be time to look for another job tho, now that I have finally hit that "magic" 2 yr mark.
Oh yea, was woken up this morning by Sunshine and apologized to. We ran out of labels and coulodn't load your tlr last night. Have put it in the dock for you tho, so hook up when you want and we'll get you loaded. Will admit to being a little disappointed over that. Not cause of the label bit but because it was all cat food. YUCK!!!!!!

I will be heading to Terre Hutte in the morning. Then up to Michigan on Sunday.
Will not be a great mileage weekend, but I will not complain. At our terminal in Carlisle right now.

ahh hometime. three times since May. First two times heat wave and now rain..sure makes it hard to cut (mow hay) the yard. Oh well easy chair and remote and a cold beverage.

 

Good God Miss Molly!!!! Good thing I've got HT coming on the 1st. Need to get some warmer clothes in the trk. Sitting at the Bosselmans in Altoona, IA and its 52 degrees here. Oh-and wet. Shorts and sandals just aint cuttin it.
Stopped at the hook in KC for fuel this am. That place hasn't been powerwashed in..... who knows how long. Got fuel then pulled up to get reefer fuel, opened the door, swung my feet out, and slid right out of the trk. Dang but that hurt. Nothing permanant tho cept ripping my shirt.
Misread my load info. Thought I delievered in Madison, WI at 0800 in the morning but instead its 2000. Ought to have plenty of time to get there, eh. Wonder if I can find a little trk stop once I cross into WI?

 

Sitting in the door at Vernon CA getting loaded, man are they slow here!!! We were here last night picking up a load going to OR with three drops, but when JJ worked out his hrs he didn't have time to run it as he is back on roll over hrs, so we swapped loads with Harvey (Harvey is a long time Motor West driver) verrrrrrrrrrrry very long lol, he is 80 this year and still jogging around the truck absolutely amazing!!

So now we are heading back to Boise ID whenever the yahoo's finish loading us, may do a 34hr reset which will give us time to set up the trailer a lil more and get some laundry done.

Wish Mike would give me the all clear to get my Permit so I can start driving, the Oregon load wouldn't have been a problem if I was able to drive!!

 

Well, I delivered a day early, and picked up my load a day early to head out tomorrow.
I like it when a plan works out. They had been behind on loads, but I was lucky and it was already done.
I will be running up to Grand Rapids tomorrow and parking at a truckstop south of town for the night. So I will be ready to deal with 5 stops on Monday morning.
First stop is in GR, last one is Battle Creek. I will be out of my 70 close to the time I deliver that, but I should be ok.
Then start getting 9+ hours back a day on Tuesday.
Hopefully I will get some miles out of that and not sit most of the day every day like the last week I set everything up well.

 

*sighs heavily* Have developed a water pump leak. Been watching it a couple of days now and can't decide if its getting worse or not. Not affecting operation yet but resevoir is noticably lower now. Hoping I can keep running it till HT 12 days away. Shop noticed a leak on my last PM and made me take it to KW in Olathe. Mechanic there said it was just loose hoses. Not now. There's a plug or something in the side that it is coming out of.
