Funny Whinning Noise!!!

    Do you think this is the problem? I'd say so! Seems it got alittle hot...:biggrin_25523:. The only question I have is how hot would it have to get to turn the housing that way? It also started pushing the housing out.

    I'm gonna tear it apart to see what caused it in a cpl days. I've heard of this happeneing but never seen it, till now!

    Right nown I'm just guessing but the inner pinion bearing must have come apart and let the shaft move foward.

    There was oil left in there but not much. It actually drained out which suprised me...:biggrin_25523:. Here is a better pic...

    As a result of that bearing going out and ruining my core the price of another pig wasn't going to be cheap! So I spent alittle more money to upgrade this old girl. She deserves it and those poor SQHD's had been thru more than their share of torture! So I went out and bought a cut-off. Its from a 2000 freightliner, rockwells, with 3.58 ratio.
