Great! Buy a 2010 FL Coronado glider kit and all is well! Doubt they would know that it has a 1999 Detroit engine in it.

I've wondered how the ports in CA are judging this too-I seriously doubt a rentacop at a port is going to know what a DPF is, let alone have time to check every truck. Fortunately, I think most of the rest of the country (and Canada too) is smart enough to realize that most of the old iron will work itself off the road anyway. Schneider and JB aren't going to buy 500 gliders a year, or even run trucks older than 5-6 years. Just like car emissions standards, it isn't necessary to make them retroactive because all but a few of the old ones are going to work themselves off the road.

This threads like a conversation at a TRUCKSTOP
starts out about a CASCADIA ends up being CORONADO GLIDER / used engine.
As for JB / SNI not buying gliders they sure bought a pile of the REMADES from the old COES to FRLINER daycabs when they were offered by FRLR. -
Shows you what I know..

And speaking of the sleeper removal/conversion to day cab, FL quit doing that in Toole, UT. Is FL doing it else where?
-
Nope , ran out of old COEs to convert thats why I had "when they were offered by FRLR. "

F/L was removing sleepers and making them daycabs and reconditioning the truck in Toole,UT. The plant was closed a few years ago and I was wondering if its still being done by F/L in other locations?

The new Cascadia is tight and quiet compared to my old Classic, the set back axel feels weird but im getting use to it. Fuel mileage is off the charts, classic got 6-6.5 on its best days, imp gal, this thing got 7.6 with 42000lbs in the box on its first run, this return is lookin like real high 8's if not a 9, only have 13000 in the box tho... all in all pretty good, have some small issues to have the dealer go over, but so far so good!
