Nice Job Guess Who!!!! "How Hard You work" would be the key here, but to be fair and give everyone the benefit I will say trucking companies can be a real tough gig to work for, with that said I often wonder what kind of ethic we are dealing with here when I see so many of the same type of complaints, an example of this well at least this is what I saw and see often but thats it I just see things and I really don't know what is going on, maybe these drivers I see are on a type of protest due to all the bad things these companies do to them, but the last Smith guy I saw, about 10 days ago here in Ma, got out of his cab in bermuda type shorts and those crock plastic clog type shoes, now if he was getting out to pee that would be one thing, but he was bringing his PW to the receiver, he then closed it up and drove off, something tells me this guy might need to get home every weekend to reset and if he does not then there is a flurry of negativeness (is that a word?) shot both barrels in the direction of his dispatcher that he has kids and he needs to be home for a cookout, in todays economy and with competition the way it is You really need to understand that running 5 days in Your truck, their truck or whatever truck it is just aint gonna cut it for an average guy with bills and a family, I cant imagine companies are still even offering that weekend home deal, but maybe they are, I would think a 10 out 3 home would work out half decent, but even then shouldnt 14 be the number to be out to make good money so You can run some length without worrying about a turn to get home, that will buzz kill any mileage accumulation as far as I can see. But what I can see is there are not too many drivers around any more that can stomach 14 out, they want to be out 5 and that includes leaving on a monday and be home friday by Noon and bring home a Grand, If anyone does find this deal please let me know, I will dump my current employer and go and do whatever I have to to get a job there.

I actually know someone that drives for Smith, and is doing just fine with them. He's been with them for around a year now.
