Sitting here in Phoenix, OR at the petro. my QC beeped me... and i am preset. I msg my FM to send info. so he sends it and goes home... I finally get it and its a 2600 mile very high priority walmart fruit load for 3 days.... WTF?!?! I guess its another solo team load for me which is DEFINITELY going to be late. No teams available in the NW, im guessing. Hell i only saw 2 other Central trucks in N Cal and they were headed south!
-
Just run your rear end off for a day and a half, only taking 10 hour breaks. Then pass it on to a team that can deliver on time.
Gets you a quick 1200 miles or so. -
I think I can get it to cleveland. the afternoon before it delivers for a team to come take it from me to drive it the rest of the way to Pottsville, pa. ill definitely need a 34 on sunday...lol

Hello everyone, I have some questions if any of you experienced Central drivers have time. I am slated to start school in Utah on the 27th of this month which I am pumped about. First, since I am coming in from MS and the company appears to operate out of Utah does that mean most of my loads will be in the west coast?? Or do they have routes down this area?? I am a serious newbie here so this is all new to me
-
Typically if you live east then they run you west and vice versa. They DO have runs in the south but you dont want to be down there too long. All the loads in the south are short with lots of time on them so you dont get that many miles. Many of us think that running in the south is some kind of punishment!

Once you have been with central for 6 months you can get on dedicated. Since you are in MS, check into the catfish fleet ( I use to be on it) It loads out of Isola and Indianola,MS drop and hook. as a solo driver you typically run I-40 and south. The majority of the solo loads go to good places, and you will get decent miles. Like you load in Isola, go to Dallas, fort worth, lewisville,tx and then either drop in irving or take the load to Oklahoma city. Then you will get a reload back to MS. Now you will hear bad stuff about fish fleet, like small places and those rumors are NOT true for solo's. Now for teams they like to send you to chicago for anywhere between 8 and 15 stops and those SUCKLostinMS Thanks this.

Sorry to hear that Dark.
Why Werner??? what were you thinking?
Heck when you said blue trucks I thought you went with Marten. And the blue birds lol.
I hope you find something soon man, good luck. -
Lol - my brother-in-law works as a load planner there. When I was at Central orientation, everyone asked why I wasn't driving for Werner and my response was: "He told me not to." Says a lot eh?!
Dark, sorry to hear about your problems. Was Deanna your DM? I don't know her and maybe Central won't give a crap. Never hurts to call although the job might just hurt just as much as it did the first time.
