you obviously had nothing to add, so you should have kept quiet, becasue now YOU got ripped a "new one".
i would check and find a school near you and take the "quick or fast" class and be done with it. you will get some road time on a multi speed transmission, plus a certificate stating you had "formal training", which should help you in finding work.
good luck, let us know how you made out.
I have a CDL, but

I would be remiss to pass on a GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY...let us please not forget grammar!
Remember, "a" preceding a consonant, and "an" precedes the vowel:
Therefore; ...who clearly is not an English major?...
Also; your second sentence could be constructed differently with the correct number of errors made by the poster...two (2).
1. Capitalization.
2. Punctuation.
Try this on for size: Your statement has twice as many words as errors!
Far be it from me to let a grammatical error get passed, when the hijacked thought of the thread went to spelling, punctuation and prose form!
Sincerely yours,
The Hijack Master...aka, TTR's spelling and grammar Professor!
Hey Don...the "grammers" have been loosed!

Interesting that you defend him. Though, I find it funny, No I am not a/an/whatever grammar major

But atleast I speak typo, and don't rip on the undeserving. -
Please show me where I defended the 4 word naysayer! All of my "catches" of grammar and spelling are always in fair humor, never do I attack the simple written (typed) mistakes that people make. Oft times I do my best to try and find a "Freudian Slip" in the "remake" of structure or words/spellings that posters/truckers/significant others post here on TTR.
It is clear and obvious, you do more than speak typo...you, like most of us do typo...as noted above in highlights!

I have to make a decision on a certain CDL school tommorrow morning. Sage,at a local community college. Price $3780 for 160 hrs. I'm ok with price. I already have a class A CDL W/Tanker endorsement, just no tractor trailer exp. I have not found a carrier that will hire me without going to a school. I need the training anyway, trucking is not an easy job. How important is the PTDI accreditation to major carriers. Bill
