I'd say it's closer to half of the fleet, as far as how many trucks have APUs, and there are at least five different brands of APU. I have a Blackrock, which gives me two outlets in one receptacle, but those don't have juice unless the APU is running. If you want to power and charge things while you're driving, you need an inverter. I got a 2500W inverter from a former driver here and had the La Mirada shop install it for me. They didn't question the wattage whatsoever.

It should also be mentioned that APUs are nice to have, when they're working. When they break down, they're a low priority for the shops to fix.

 

Wow, cool. On opposite sides, or both on one side? Good if you have a TV, Xbox, the fridge is running, and you want to run the micro...LOL

 

One on each side, below the bunk.

Still had to use pain in the ### extension cords though.

 

Wow this thread is dying It is such an awesome and has some VERY good information. Sure wish it was in the DAC folder so people could find it easier.
