Thankfully I heard enough of that in the Marine Corps, might actually make me feel back at home again, can't wait.

Well.. I now have a truck... of course a T2000 with an APU even.. I was impressed. It's an 07'.

unfortunately, the guy moving out wasn't done today (even when i stopped by to help him) So tomorrow I take possession, and get it ready to roll off the yard.. Just need my settings done, Quick clean at the detail shop ( only need the seats and the carpet cleaned).. then back down for the shop sign off.. it already had alot of services done on it when it hit the yard last Friday.

So.. maybe Monday I will be out and about.

Nat bad! Hope the truck runs well for you! Also hope you get some home time after your first couple loads. When you get back into town drop me a line!

well howdy all! Sorry I dont get to post often anymore. Kept so busy. I see why this fleet burns out drivers. Doing over 2,500 miles a week with Sat and Sun off. Sometimes drive a few hours Sat going home or doing a local for extra income. This Sat I will be running leased trailers back to Xtra Lease for a bit. Probably only a couple until I run out of hours. Right now I'm sitting getting unloaded. First unload since I got this fleet. Usually drop and hook. And this place is slow! Been here four hours and still haven't been touched. Asked inside and got the old "we're busy and will do you as soon as we can" sigh. Well, guess I'll catch up on reading or nap. Welcome aboard newbies and everyone keep it upright!

Dallas finally got around to fixing the computer mess up, and dispatched me on the load at 1700, that I was pre-planned on at 0830 with a DLD of 1215. Needless to say, aint gonna happen. I drove up and picked up the loaded trailer, and finished out my 14 for the day. then I got to run a whopping 240 miles before giving it to a team to finish. Now here I set empty, waiting again.......

Spent 45 minutes dialing, waiting, leaving messages, QC messages, making sure that I am not screwed up again, as the truck that repowered me made the final delivery before coming over to the Truck stop.

Meat dispatch tried to blame yesterday on me, until I pointed out the QC messages stating that the empty called needed fixed due to a unverifiable Destination. A computer error, that the programmers really need to get on top of.

Got to love it when ones livelihood is in someone elses hands, and you have limited control.....And nobody in dallas is willing to admit when they make a mistake. Time for a nap, just incase I get a load that has to run tonight.

Finally finished out my training with HCC. Added an extra week over the driving test and some obvious mistakes made. But got through it the next time with no points knocked off so I'm happy. I finally have my cdl.

Will be heading on up to Dallas tomorrow. Call me crazy but I'm looking forward to it :biggrin_25526:. Been having a blast so far. I've lived in Houston all my life and haven't seen half the crazy things I saw these last 3 weeks.

    Good evening yall

Yesterday we got rid of what was left of the six stopper Tropicana load. The last three drops would have been in the Dallas area and the way it was scheduled it would have taken us two days to get rid of it. Trainer called his DM and shortly there after we swapped the load out for one going Hartford Ct! Yipee

Typing from Knoxville tonight. Very happy to get out of Texas. We actually drive by the yard with our new load. Really was not ready to see that place so soon.

It took me a few days to get used to the Pete and the 8 speed but I am alot more comfortable behind the wheel. Now that the driving forward is smoothing wout we are getting focused on driving backward. This load is not due till Monday afternoon so we will be sitting on Sunday where I should be able to get it some backing priactice. Me going to bump that east coast dock on Monday.

    Having fun. Sunnyside up!
