There used to be a Volunteer out of Dayton, TN. If it is the same company they used to be pretty good to work for from what I have heard.
-
I've heard they are decent .. But no first hand information
-
If you have at least a couple of years experience and a good background you might want to give Big G a call in Shelbyville, TN.
-
Thanks. I filled out an online app. for them today. They have a terminal here in Cookeville so I figured when I need to be home it wouldn't be an issue.
By the way, how long does online apps take. I've been off the road for 3 years and before when I would hire on I would call and go fill out paper work. -
Thanks G/Man. I emailed Terry at Big G for more info and printed off the application.
Wow, it seems old school compared to everyone else on line apps. Big G seems like a good idea with their employee's as shareholders. Makes you take more pride in your work. -
Might also look at Cooke out of E.Tn. Red/White trucks, do I-40 to the W. Coast. Reefer operation. Running Pete's, I think.

does cooke have solo drivers

We had a CB Trucking (Charles Bailey) picking up the other day. Nice looking equipment, driver seemed OK with the place. They're from Cookeville,Tennessee.
-
They are a good company and treat their people well. They have more than doubled in size in about 10 years or less. If I were looking for a company job I would look at them.
