I currently am making 70% of the load and 100% of FSC with the company I just started with 3 weeks now it seems like I am averaging around 2.02 per mile not counting the FSC is that a pretty good rate.

    I'd say that's excellent.

Especially when you stack it up against the .90 a mile plus FSC crowd.

70% is what I gross to the truck pulling there Trailer. I FSC is roughly .30 to .40 per mile could be better but it's ok I get company discounted fuel and discounts for tires, washes etc... I pay tags and insurance.

That to me sounds like a company I would lease a truck onto. Thats pretty good seeing as there is plenty of people out there making 1.20 a mile and thinking its good....

it's a small company in PA called Penns Best it's an employee owner company been around since the 70's I had just left Kane Freightlines after 3 years of company driving and decided to take the plunge into O/O.. the only draw back is you only get paid for empty miles if it's 150 miles or more which isn't that bad but be nice to be paid for all empty miles..

If you get paid any DH miles take it as a bonus. Percentage plans never pay empty miles, at least none I've ever seen. I've always run percentage (15 + years) and have never had that as part of the pay package.

pulling their trailer, I think it is good rate. every co I know of, flatbed co only. pay's 75% with you pulling your own trailer. I get 80 % pulling from home area, but 75% when load from any other area.
