Thanks everybody! This forum has been a great help over the many months. And dalejr8fan, Just take it slow and you'll be good. I was nervous as a coon in a cage, but I had a great tester who talked during the drive and calmed me down.

    Major contenders for work:
    Maverick Specialized (Glass hauling)
    Warner
    US Xpress
NTB (haven't heard back from them yet)
    Swift
(Insert company wanting warm bodies here)

After talking with the college instructor about my choices, he's actually pushing toward Warner instead of Maverick. Since Mav is having growing pains, Warner is more "sensitive" to newer drivers and and needs for home time. He doesn't think they're a gift from the gods or anything, just that I would be more comfortable there.

Mav is starting at .38 starting though.

Hmmm. I'm in Michigan now, but in about a year or so we'd love to move to Texas. I have family in the Austin area.
