    Uh nope.....

Flare guns come in all sizes.....including 12 gauge.

The recoil is a b##### though. 2 3/4 inch buckshot loads for effect :biggrin_25525:

No it is not illegal you just need to know the laws for every state that your going into. Passing through a state is one thing but actually stopping is another. I know in IL you have to have the firearm out of reach and locked up and then the ammo has to be in a completly seperate spot. Pretty much in a car the gun has to be locked in the truck and the ammo has to be in the glove box. Thats how my freinds have done it. If you own your own truck then your the one who makes the policy as long as your not leased onto somewhere that says no, but if your a company driver then your usually SOL and cannot carry.

A gun is only as fast as the user and the way I know is this is my rifle I must shoot it straighter and kill the enemy before he is trying to kill me ect..... I agree somewhat though, I never carried a gun with me only a tire thumper/ mini sledge hammer to bang on the pins of a trailer and check my tires. Had a 12" peice of 00 gauge cable from back when I was an electrician that would probably do just as much damage if not more then a hammer. No need for a gun, when a nice knife will help you out enough. Get yourself a nice CQB knife and carry that with you, it only takes a 2-3" blade to kill a human if you get them in the right part of the body and I am still sure that if you get stabbed with anything 2 or 3" long your going to be hurting pretty bad.

Finally an accurate post. You can also search "Firearms" and you'll find plenty of reading. If you have a concealed carry permit, there is quite a bit of reciprocity between States, but as mentioned above, it's up to YOU to check and know the laws where you'll be traveling.

Here is a site that can help out on the different laws in different states. I haven't looked at it in a while, so I can't say what changes have been made lately.:biggrin_25525: Handgunlaw.us

Legally I can carry anywhere in the United States due the Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act. However I would fall under any company policy if they do not allow it.

Ah, now that answers the question I was thinking. You wouldn't believe how many times I've heard statements similar to that, and asked them if they were LEO's. My eyebrows usually gave away my thoughts when they would answer no.:biggrin_2559:

Thanks for the job you're doing, or did.:biggrin_25525:

Almost anything can be a weapon. A weapon is just an extension of the body.
