Not everyones experience is horrible. You just have to work hard and stick with it. They dont just hand you things you have to earn your place. Halfway thru my hubbys 3 year lease and we dont have anything to complain about. What you gotta remember if you lease is that it is YOUR business YOU have to make sure it works.

Hey, Kiacosiah, how was the first year for your hubby? What were his checks like? How did he make it work? My son is thinking of going with them, due to a misdemeanor. No one else will look at him. But if he goes, I want him to make it. At least through the first year. What are your recommendations? As his mother, I worry about him, but there isn't much else out there. He is 23, and has no other obligations like bills or girlfriend/kids. So wouldn't it be a little easier for him to make it?

How many cr england warriors know that 2 guys in California are suing dear ol
England for non-payment and other labor related problems?

If some of you would join these two guy and make this a class-action-suit, you
might just get your just rewards.

yes if he has no bills no house no life, yea the chances are better, not really more like it will be easier for him to live in a truck and might have enough to eat from week to week because he has no bills.it's kinda like renting a truck to live in based on the loads you pull.that is if he can handle being treated like a rag doll in exchange for a bunk to sleep in.

just saying sorry so harsh,i remember back in 03 i had already had my cdl for 2 1/2 years driving otr.my dad wanted to drive and i started teaching him.we looked at cre to run teams with being that he could get his cdl there while i was running otr.he was going to go to the school while i was getting the truck so i would have been solo for the time it took for him to get his cdl at cre.lmao wow is all i can say.we got the bus ride up there i was going to stay with my dad for the first day or 2 to get him settled in b4 i left otr.we get there"up in sc or nc "they had a code to get in the gate.got signed in and got a room.bunk beds dorm style.got our room then went down to look at the training pad out back saw a few people no organization what so ever.so we went to bed, woke up went out back to the training center and one from cre to be seen nowhere.sat down and watched students driving the trucks by themselfs my jaw was dropping lmao no lie.they were backing into the fences and jack knifing in the middle of the pad lmao we sat and waited for some one from cre to show up.4 hours later still noone from cre anywhere to be seen.i told my dad lets pack and rent a car back home.i ended up teaching my dad myself with my truck"was running o/o at the time bought my truck outta macon ga.got him his cdl and we stuck to running containers out of jaxport in jax fla.

Hi, this is my first post and some ppl probably wont like it>

I used to work for this company (CR England) and dont have much bad to say about them. I went through there school and got my cdl.

I was over the road company solo for 7 months and had no problems. then i asked for a dedicated run with home time every night and i got it. the dedicated run paid great but sometimes the hours were long, using all 14 hours possible :) but not everyday.

I'm am actually going back to them after taking a break from the road. I know it sounds crazy!!! But i am a glass half full kind of guy.

I guess it has to do with the person as well as the company. CR England is not a bad place to get your feet wet and then have someone throw you in the lake. Dont let it leave a bad taste in your mouth, try to hang in there and get at least six months or a year under your belt and move on. but you will find that most companies are the same, its kinda like comparing coke to pepsi to rc cola!

P.S. DON'T LEASE A DAM TRUCK UNLESS YOU REALLY KNOW WHAT YOUR GETTING INTO!!!!!

As a former C.R. instructor I'm appalled but not surprised by the instructors behavior. I quit because of a lot of the B.S. that went on where I worked. There were a lot of recruites that didn't belong behind the wheel that were passed (Let me say that it wasn't always their driving capabilities, but because of their attitudes towards the career they were entering.) and even more that had great potential but were sent packing. There is an instructor currently there that likes to "grenade" the brakes if a student wouldn't listen to an instruction and we had harsh words over that action. But that seems to be the type they want. If you're not arrogant or belittling enough they don't want you. I wasn't trained like that and still believe that's not the best way to teach anyone.

I am very sorry that he did that to you. I would've filed a a complaint with the Lead Instructor and if nothing happened then with the school Administrator.

I also quit because my views on things ARE VERY different the C.R's when it came to driver training. Especially in regards to their "so-called" trainers with less than 5 yrs OTR experience.

I went through a school that was 4 months long with a 2 month internship at a trucking company. Unfortunately school closed a year later because they wouldn't shorten the time and alot of the Trucking companies wanted people in 3 weeks or less.

Don't give up on driving just yet, granted things have changed drastically since I first started driving, some for the better, some for the worse.

You have to make a lot of sacrifices when it comes to family and yes it can/does take it's toll on relationships and if not vigilant, your health. I've met some really wonderful people both in the industry and public, and seen a lot of beautiful country.

I hope whatever venture you choose, that you will be happy.
