thats the truth. some driver are in way too much of a hurry just to get off at the next exit. when i go through atlanta i turn my cb off too much trash talking

As others have pointed out, the driver / cameraman is as dangerous, if not more dangerous, than the truckers he is taping. Some of the things he points out are a bit of a stretch, too. Still, there are a lot of aggressive big-rig drivers out there. I see it in person and it's not cool. We have a higher level of responsibility and should behave as such.

In New York, as a Class A driver, I will received a double fine and twice as many points on my license for any moving violation - even if I'm driving my passenger car. Perhaps more states need this type of law...

 

Regardless of what the people doing the videos are doing, the few of these that I have seen, all involve Drivers that I really hope are Ex-Drivers now!

There is absolutely no reasoning for the type of Driving that I have seen in these videos!

I know that most of you out there, realize that "#### happens fast" out there, and there is absolutely no way these Drivers could get out of one of those situations if it "turned to ####". Ever happen to you? Has to me! And, I'm #### glad that I gave myself that extra few seconds to do something other than become involved in an accident. "Knock on wood"? Sure, but Defensive Driving provides you with a way out!

 

The driving might be bad in some case's but to me its like a disgruntled Ex employee that wouldn't hack it,was accused of one of these things and now is goal in life is to do the same to others.

Just my thoughts...

 

Call me what you will, but I've adjusted my driving habits after watching those vids. I think he over embelishes the situation with a few of the drivers, all the areas that are taped are highly populated with tons of traffic, it's out of our hands as drivers from time to time to avoid getting close, I don't think he recognizes the efforts of some of those guys to back out of it, but there is no reason to slam on brakes just to regain your 4-6 second following distance. Point is, I've been paying more attention to my driving not only for myself, but I want to represent my company in a good light.

 

Its better to be safe than sorry not only that ...You may be the next one in his videos

 

The thing ive noticed. Is the time some of these drivers stay on the rear end of these four wheerlers. There is never an excuse to tailgate. If you are cut off You need to slow down and let that person go. Dont be to prideful to slow down. The guy taking these videos is very unsafe in a few of his own videos. Mister camera man just keep on riding in those blind spots. I will be watching your video on Fox News one day. It wont be because of the good your doing either.

 

Never understood what was the big hurry to tailgate for...
