Go under discuss your favorite trucking compnay. Look at the Central Refrigerated Truck Stop Pappi is going through the Training and he is using a dd 214
-
That is true. I start Oct 4 in SLC and I am prior military and I sent over my DD214 and was told that I do not have to pay for the training. All I have to do is complete 1 year with them. Also, they still want the reg fee and the license fee.
-
Well young man!!! if a central recruiter said it, then it must be true!! ask any recruiter
if they know what a CDL license looks like too. Yes, they do with a DD214 under Honorable conditions only. Good Luck!! -
Do not let them make you sign a contract, as a veteran it is an approved school and the government will pay for it, you do not by law have to work there for a year. If they try and make you contact the VA administration and report it.
-
Actually that is not true.. I have been out of the miltary for over 25 years and my school was paid for because I am a vet.
Anything the government would have paid for me has long expired..
Only truth you said here is your discharge must be honorable..
The program is called C.R.A.F.T. -
check with VA man!! some benifiets never expire, would you like me to email you your veterans brocheure.
-
I know the school here is Sacramento, will credit you the $1200 if you have a dd214.
I am getting a copy of mine so I can save the $$! -
I know my va benefits quite well. All my educational benefits ran out 20 years ago.the one benefits I am eligible for are medical and I have them.
C.R.A.F.T was set up by Central to honor our nation's warriors past and present and pay for the school to get a CDL. You sign the same contract any other potential candidate does, which the exception of not having to pay $1275 back.
All you need is a DD 214 with an Honorable discharge.
Dispite your negative attitude toward Central they have done me right so far.. my recruiter didn't lie; nor did they tell me anything in orientation that was 'inflated'.Lady K Thanks this.
