What bothers me with this is schools are quick to support gay rights and discrimination against gay's, but let a couple kids express their moral beliefs and they are the ones that get punished. For standing up against what clearly is defined as wrong in the Bible.
Passage 1 Corinthians 6:9:
Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders.

The Bible has no place in public schools. If you wish to bring up your children in this manner, there are countless Christian schools out there you can send your kids to.
Public schools are the domain of the government, and when religion and government mix, bad things happen. Inquisitions, Taliban-style regimes and so on.
Your religion, or lack thereof, is your own business. Don't try to force it on the rest of the country, who may or may not believe as you do.

there will always be religion in schools......" oh please god let me pass this test "...........

But it is OK to force accepting the gay lifestyle on our children??? Wrong answer. God should be included in everything. Views like that is why we are in the situation that we are in today. Lets see take out the Ten Commandments and put in metal detectors. In case of emergency break glass and let God out. That is the view of most in todays society. What is wrong with honoring God in everything you do? If you don't want to believe then that is your right, but if God's Word was followed we would not have a lot of the problems we have today.
Deuteronomy 11
18 Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 19 Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 20 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates, 21 so that your days and the days of your children may be many in the land that the LORD swore to give your forefathers, as many as the days that the heavens are above the earth. -
There in lies the problem. In your statement you said "Your religion, or lack there of, is your own business". The public school TEACHES "lack there of" e.g. evolution. Besides, if you study the original debates for the preparing of the constitution, you will see that separation of church and state was inteneded to keep the government from dictating policy to the church. This country was founded on the principles of God and religion. That's how it got printed on our money and government buildings. Research it. I'm not trying to come off as being nastyto you, and please forgive me if I have offended you. I just don't like it when people accept the past Supreme Court interpretations that were made to advance political agendas as gospel. No pun intended.

This entire country and its laws were based on Judeo-Christian Values.
The school opened themselves up to a counter protest by having a protest in the first place.
Sexuality is a lifestyle choice and should not be protected under EOE and other Discrimination laws.

I have resarched it, sir--a lot more than you, apparently.
The US did not have an official currency until the late 19th century. When "In God We Trust" was proposed for our money, there was more than a little debate about the whole situation. Even some Christians didn't want it--they feared that it would lead to people worshipping money instead of God.
You'll notice that the word "God" does not appear in the Constitution; the closest thing to it is "Creator." Also, "no religious test shall be required to hold public office." Our Founders were, for the most part, Deists. They went to great lengths to separate government and religion, not to "keep government from dictating policy to the church," but to prevent either from dictating policy to the other.
As for NoTarps...no one is forcing anyone to accept anything. If you believe there's something wrong with being gay, you don't have to be gay. You don't have to support gay folks, and you don't have to allow gay folks in your house. But, if you value freedom, you do have to respect the rights of others to live differently than you do. The bumper sticker reading, "Tolerance is the virtue of people who don't believe in anything," is nonsense. Tolerance is the primary virtue of people who believe in freedom. If you think "God should be included in everything," there's many countries in the Middle East who agree wholeheartedly with that statement(albeit their God and holy book are a bit different from yours). And look how successful they are!!

Fixed that for ya.
