Left the TA in Turlock this morning to head out to my 0800 delivery and noticed the fuel guage laying over dead empty.
Some *&^& siphoned my fuel last night.
Fortunately I don't fill my tanks before parking for the night, so he only got about 30 gallons.
But if I could just catch this rat-bast@rd...
Second time in thirty some years...so I guess it's not that bad.
Rotten *$##*!

They make locking caps and special perforated anti-siphoning deals that snap into the necks. Do you have any of these?
-
I have the anti siphon inserts. But you can still stick a small hose thru the center of these and with a small electric pump, can get 5 gallons per minute.
I'm pretty sure I know the tuck that did it, but can't prove it. He parked next to me shortly after I arrived. Probably picked me because I came from the pumps. All I had done was wash my windows, but he probably saw me come from the pumps, figured I was full. Then when I left the truck to go get my shower, he probably did the deed.
He was gone when I came back. The next truck that parked next to me, went nose in, and was still here this morning when I left, so I'm sure it wasn't him.
Talked with the manager here this morning and he told me I was the third truck to complain this morning. We were all in the same area, but their security cameras don't record that area.
Like I said, I'm fortunate. I hadn't fueled up. Could have been much worse.
Time to get some locking caps. I'm leaning towards the Robonds. Any other suggestions? http://www.robond.com/en/group.aspx?groupId=5 -
Sounds like they need to hide and watch for these clowns. Then introduce them to Mr. Baseball Bat...

Does that TA have cameras that maybe caught the guy in the act?
-
I just don't know what I would do if I caught somebody doing that. It might not be pretty!
-
If I caught him They would catch me checking tires with a thumper! His Head

Cameras don't pan that area of the lot. From what I understand, three of us got hit that night. I have the anti siphon inserts, but the hole at the bottom still lets you put a small hose in, and with an electric pump, you can get 5 gallons per minute...very quietly.
