Nice hotel they put me in with a computer in the lobby that I'm on now.
So far so good, drivers I've chatted with seem to be happy with May.

Well I got fixed up with a trainer already,I'm hitting the road at 8:00am tomorrow.
-
right on Y2K! i'm at home right now, got a load to pickup in west phoenix tomorrow at 2pm so after we dropped our load in Nogales, az today we shot back up and parked the rig at the Loves on exit 162 on the I-10, Since i'm close to home i went home for tonight, going back to the truck tomorrow at 11:45am to pick up the next load by 2pm, then headed back to brooks to drop the trailer for a repower to Tacoma,Wa and i should solo out while in brooks this saturday. GOOD LUCK TO YOU OUT THERE!
@TruckerSteve
NOPE! Wasn't a costco load, was a load of frozen veggies we took to American Foods, "GREAT" place to back into, covered bays so close together you'd think you were a Nascar driver with all the paint you'd be swaping with the rig next to you
NOTE: American Foods - A building built for 48' trailers, makes backing 53' reefers fairly difficult haha.
and i've been looking for ya out there Steve, my trainer is a new trainer, his name is Lloyd Hall but goes by Steve (or tries to at least) our truck is a 2008 Pete 387 #4542 Hope to see you out there one of these days. -
Way to go, Y2K.....Good luck w/ your trainer !
-
American foods eh? After a while, one run will become the last run and places like this will slowly fad out of your memory or you will pull your hair out till your bald! After a while what was a bad situation just don't seem as big of a awful mess as it use to. Way to go by the way very proud of you! Tell your trainer I said hello~

Welp, I trained off yesterday and will get my own truck next week.
I was out with my trainer Shad 14 days, great guy and really taught me a lot in that short time.
I'm pretty tired but ready to get it on in my own rig, sleeping in that crappy upper bunk with a trainer that snores left me with a sleep deficit lol.
We were pulling a nasty ### noisy refer unit that kept me awake a lot as well.
I'll be pulling a dry van 11 Western so it will be a lot better for sleeping heh heh.
I did most of the driving,we went from Brooks,Oregon to PA,NY,GA,then up to WA and back to OR.
I've already done Monteagle,Snoqualmie Pass and been over Cabbage Hill both directions, also ran the Terwilliger curves in Portland and drove Seattle/Puyallup in rush hour traffic. -
Congrats and best of luck with your new solo status. I hope you have a long and successful career with May!Y2K Thanks this.
