Con Way Truckload

Does anyone know if they let you take the trucks home? What are the average miles per week for solo? I am expecting some information from them this week.

 

Yes, they will let you take truck home, as long it is parked off the street in safe and secure location, just have to aprove it thru safety dept.

 

Good, I have a full 8' fenced in back yard and Police Department across the road from my house.

 

if solo, dont know what your experience r. If you making .39 C run 4000 miles a week you can make $1500.

With all the info received , I have decided that Conway Truckload is where I am going. They do not have tuition reimbursement but I will be making an average of $300-400 more a month starting with them that it will be worth it. They have Terminals in Michigan and all the home time,benefits,and incentives I am looking for in a great company. I will start a new post in a couple weeks and keep everyone informed on the progress at Orientation in Joplin,MO. Thank you all for the posts and information on thetruckersreport.com. I think you made a pretty good choice, they do runs into Canada quite often so that might help you get home more often. Do you have a enhanced CDL ? If not you might want to look into getting one. I just got mine, it took two weeks to get it. Good Luck.

Thanks, Wildbill123, I was already planning on getting an enhanced CDL when I got my License. I heard that Conway likes you to have a Hazmat also. An enhanced Cdl is basically a passport to get you into Canada and a few other places by vehicle, but you cannot fly with one. They put a chip in your Michigan License. You need a passport if you would like to fly out of the country.

 

I put in an application w/them and never got a response by email like their website said I would. Then I try calling the 800 number and lady gives me another number to call and that number refers me to their website and does not let me talk to a human. i tried to contact them abt my app several times and final just said screw it!
