If you just want a way to pay for fuel without having to carry large sums of money you may want to consider the PDCA card from Transportation Alliance Bank. I know several people who are owner operators who use it. They get the cash price at Flying J and without a transaction fee. The only problem is that you don't get the charges broken down as you do with a fuel card. The nice thing about the PDCA card is that you can use it like a debit or credit card and you can use it anywhere they accept regular credit cards.

NASTC has a fuel card that averages about .14 cents a gallon below cash price.
Doesn't take long to save the membership fee.

But Fleet one isn't a bank as AFAIK... still they should get you what you need... I'd ask for a supervisor or send a real letter to the company president.
