If it gets hot I idle the truck Pan.
But I have been in the north most of the year, so I can go without idling more nights than those that run the south can.
This truck will not idle between 50 and 74. Even if I wanted too. Which normally I will not do anyway. The only days it bothers me is if it is 74 and sunny. Gets hot in the truck then. Or 70+ outside and I am parked between 2 running trucks. I do not sleep well then. Since the heat of the trucks makes it hot, and the noise is bad if I open my windows.
I have managed to finally get this truck back up to 64 mph though. It took all summer to get it's idle below 25% so it would speed up. Now I do not want to idle much so I will not slow back down to 62.
I know it is not much, but I like to have that little extra.

Still sitting around for now.
I did not have a preplan last night when I delivered, but my dispatcher had told me yesterday afternoon that I would be heading to gouldsboro pa when empty.
But night dispatch did not want me to deadhead there, since I had no preplan.
I went half way to there though, since I needed a free parking lot lol.
Then they tried to plan me out of Maine, but I would have to backtrack 180 miles.
So now they are kicking around things.
The Maine i would have had to wait for till Monday. The Gouldsboro was Sunday. Now they are trying to find me some miles. But the people in Carlisle that run the freight in this region do not want to give me anything that loads today and has miles.
So I will just sit and wait.

 

Well I just got back from moving all my stuff into a different storage unit. Got broke into about 2 1/2 months ago, lock was supposed to get fixed, and went and checked on it yesterday. Nothing had been done to it and the lady they have working there now didn't even find any notes about it. Talk about going ballistic!!! Was fairly good about it to her, since it wasn't her fault, and even managed not to cuss to much but man...... I was mad.

These must have been some really poor folks tho that broke in. Not only did they get about $800 in change that I had in coffee cans but they took all my pillows and blankets. Guess they didn't like my style in sheets tho. lol

 

So here I sit.
They took off the water load, so I am not sitting till Monday.
They have not added the Sears load, but I am still having to wait for it to be added just in case.
I guess they have to have X number of trucks available till 1700 just in case.
When 1700 gets here I can run down to Jersey and pick up a preloaded trailer and bring it to Columbus for a drop anytime Monday.
So here I sit till 1700, hoping I will not get screwed.
Even dispatch said that if they add the sears I will be screwed till at least Tuesday to get out of the Northeast loop.

 

Ahhhhh, now this is what HT is all about. Beer, homemade frito chile pie, OU/texas football!!!! What more can one ask for??

Well OU sure tried to screw the pooch at the end, but came up smelling like..... well lets just say they won.

 

Got my load to Columbus. I am here now.
Then I am headed to Delaware for tomorrow.
Then I guess they have a load back here for me, if I can pick it up on time. Thus I need to leave here by 0300 at the latest. So I will probably call it a night soon.
Then run out of hours about the time I pick up my return run.
Even with running off recap hours I should be here again by Wednesday early.
I have off Sat-Mon for family stuff this next weekend.
I have tickets to the first home Sabres game. Hockey season is getting ready to goooo.

 

While moving stuff from one storage room to another, I stumbled across my HS year book. OMG!!!!! Makes me want to hunt them all down and burn them. Course, the only thing thats changed about me, is I now have long hair.
