Try a no-gound antenna on your mirror. Wilson makes one and I know Skip Shooter antennas will work for you. And you still will need some place for your coax to enter.

Radio Shack sells a 4 ft fiberglass no ground antenna with mirror mount for 40 bucks. I have one and works surprisingly well. They come pre-tuned for low 1:1 SWR on channel 19 right out of the packaging. Fairly good deal for the money.

Another one to recommend is the Solarcon "Ground Zero" antenna. They are a nightmare to tune and took me 2 days to get all of the adjustments and bugs worked out... but it was worth it. Best no ground mobile antenna I've ever used.

Look around for someone that sells a CB antenna for marine use. They are fiberglass, and dont require a ground...

The Wilson no ground for around $60 is orders of magnitude above the marine antenna. I have tried both and there is no comparison. The through glass is good only for talking 8 feet and blowing finals.

Ghostchild, turn it into a mobile Frank's box.
