There is also a Super 18 spd. Same as normal 18 only 17-18 are auto shift.
-
All the new RTLO 13 and 18's are "super",double overdrive transmissions but there is a Super 13or18 "top 2" which the top two gears are electronically shifted not to be confused with an Autoshift 18 spd. which is all electronic.
-
The older model which shifts top two is the one I was referring to. They also have an 18 Ultra shift. Haven't driven one yet though.

I'm guessing the Eaton Fuller is the same as Rockwell's? http://www.ttcautomotive.com/english/onlineorder/pdf/SPTD01601012_178.pdf

Thanks for the video links.
Ok, some of that stuff I didn't understand (Eaton, super, ultra). I have been learning to drive our 18 and I have just now gotten to the point of not grinding every single gear. (You don't want to see the video my husband shot of me shifting)
I've been at it for 3 weeks. The only shifts I have driven before were my '67 VW beetle, my Ford Explorer 5 speed, and the truck driving schools beat up 10 gear Century class.

I need a good laugh....

Watching that first video, its kinda funny to think by the time you have shifted 9 times you're only going about 10mph lol.
-
According to the 2nd vid the 1st is not doing it right. I shift like the 1st I think it would be tough to relearn the "proper" way.

I'm glad nobody told me I had to use the clutch every time I move the switch. Hell with that.
