Only if you are not paying cash for it.

if you like them and plan on keeping it, I don't mean to be mean but they are considered to be a through away truck, meaning after a few years nobody wants them so you either keep it or through it away and get a new one.
As for the price seems high for a Volvo, but as I said if you like them may be alright -
Bit high on the $ , do a SEARCH on TRUCKPAPER to get an average $ on that year / model.

Can't say that I agree with the throw-away aspect, but the goal of buying a truck is to get it paid off and make better money after it's paid for, so no matter what you buy, keep it!
Price? I can't answer that, but can say that it might be higher due to the fact it has a Cummins and not a Volvo powerplant.
Good luck to yoU! -
Volvo's are generally harder to work on and have the smallest dealer network so getting service might be an issue.

I own a 05 Volvo day cab. The driver loves it but I dont think I would buy another. I dont like the way they are built and they are hard to service. You cant go to the part store and buy wire as small as they use. Its no wonder they have a reputation for wiring problems. But I have not had many problems with it.
35k does not seem that bad to me for a truck with 470000 on it. Even if it is a Volvo -
all I meant by "through away" is the resale value drops so much on them compared to say a Kenworth or even a freightliner (classic) they aren't worth selling. like it or not Gears, eventually you will need to replace your truck

Thats the average price of a Volvo.
Don't listen to what some people say about Volvos. To me they are built a lot better then some trucks today. Yes they are harder to work on then a long nose hood truck because the engine is partially underneath the cab.
All trucks today are disposable or throw aways. I have a 2004 670 in my fleet with over 820,000miles the cab is very quiet inside. I also have 2005 Century with 480,000 miles and she is very noisy.
The other thing you need to know that Volvos are very heavy trucks. Our Volvo comes in # 18,5000lbs while the Century weighs 15,600lbs. With reefer loads that could be a problem. The Challenger Thanks this. -
thank you guys...trouble65,my first choice was century with detroit engine but my friends (drivers)like volvo better...I see u got century in your fleet...beside that noise in cabin, can you compare them in other categories, like fuel usage, parts prices...thank you
