My truck came with the Eaton Vorad Collision Avoidance System. It's tied to the cruise control, where the system won't let you get close to vehicles in front of you when cruise is engaged.

A few days ago, the Vorad quit working. I checked the fuse and all's well, don't know why or how it quit. Along with it, my cruise now doesn't work and since they're kind of tied together, I'm wondering if the inoperable Vorad is making my cruise control inoperable.

I got no documentation with this truck regarding the Vorad, maybe I turned it off somehow? I don't know how to turn it back on or anything else about this thing.

Figured I'd post here to you guru's and see if you had any suggestions. You've helped me quite a bit in the past!

    Thanks in advance...

The easiest fix is to have cat or cummins turn off the adaptive cruise control parameters. The vorad system should be showing a fault of some kind. More than likely its a radar problem if it is. Peterbilt can check the alignment if you don't have any faults to see if the radar is looking at the ground

    Gears Thanks this.
