Thank you, Fratsit ! I've never regretted it. I volunteered in late '72...Mom/Dad had to sign for me to go...I was right out of high school. I am glad I did it and have recommended to many young folks that it was a good thing to teach you a lot of what you'll need later in life.
Too bad I couldn't remember how to keep a 34" waist like they taught me in basic at San Antonio. Up early, 3 squares a day and bed with the pigeons did it to me back then but then my 3 squares turned into whatever, whenever and when ya can and my eyes started looking like a Tennessee road map cause I was chasing them $ signs. Funny thing is, I never did catch up to 'em...dollar signs, that is![]()
