Thank you, Fratsit ! I've never regretted it. I volunteered in late '72...Mom/Dad had to sign for me to go...I was right out of high school. I am glad I did it and have recommended to many young folks that it was a good thing to teach you a lot of what you'll need later in life.
Too bad I couldn't remember how to keep a 34" waist like they taught me in basic at San Antonio. Up early, 3 squares a day and bed with the pigeons did it to me back then but then my 3 squares turned into whatever, whenever and when ya can and my eyes started looking like a Tennessee road map cause I was chasing them $ signs. Funny thing is, I never did catch up to 'em...dollar signs, that is

Yes sir... I am with you. I don't regret enlisting at all. While at times its been tough, I have sailed the majority of the 7 seas.... the Navy took me all over the Pacific.... Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Guam, Japan, South Africa, Malaysia, Dubia, Bahrain, UAE.... heck I was even stationed in Hawaii (Pearl Harbor) for 14 years..... its been a great ride and provided a solid living. My final tour is coming up.... and I am going out the way a sailor should.... at sea. I report to USS Donald Cook (DDG75) in December. That will take me to 24 years and then it will be time to get a real job....
Be safe out there. I took a look at your photos and I must say..... Brother, that ride is nice. I appreciate your hard work. .....And the custom choppers are nice, too. I have an 03 H/D VROD.
