Howdy from a New-Guy !

    Just wanted to introduce myself. Been in the construction industry for many years but about to give up on it. Have done lots of cross-country driving in life and always liked it. Always thought I'd like to be an O/O when in semi-retirement. Kind of a cowboy/loner. Went and got the A permit. Only missed 7 and the lady said she didn't see many pass it 1st time. Have to decide about starting school here in Smithfield, NC by 10/20, that's when the $ is due. Starts on 10/25. No ticket's no wreck's. Anybody know anything about the school in Smithfield, NC ? Have a good one!

    Rowdy, do a search in the Schools section. You might have some luck finding something there, if not start your own thread in there, and I'm sure you will get some replies. Welcome to the board. Good luck with school and keep us posted on your progress as far as choosing a company. Be sure to check the forums on those companies, as it will save you a lot of headaches.

    Welcome aboard Finn!
    I too was in the construction industry in the very early 80's. Can't help you regarding your school question, but there is a TON....I mean a TON of reading for you here regarding schooling and starter companies.
