I just got a mifi to go out on the road with my laptop. I am new to trucking and plan to eventually get my ps3 going.

You arent going over the monthly cap playing 2 to 3 hours a day? What if there is a big update you need to download? I remember putting a brand new game in my ps3 and it made me download like a 3 gig patch.

 

you have to watch the patches. do that at home on your cable or sbc

 

Yeah thats what I kind of figured. The actual playing of the game does not eat up your usage that much though?

no just gamming i use 2 to 3 gig a month

 

being able to play 2 to 3 hours a day thats not bad at all.and you siad this was with mifi?

 

Mifi is a Verizon Wireless 3G hub. It will support up to 5 devices. You can also use it hard wired to your computer with a USB cord. I have an 8 foot usb extention and i put the hub up in the top window of my sleeper. it"s really not that much faster pluged in, but you dont eat the battery up. It charges through a mini USB plug. It about the size of a credit card and 1/4" thick.

You guys crack me up. I think there is one person I have seen thats in his 20's in this thread. I like the fact that the older guys are into video games too. I thought I was old when you get those 10 yr olds playing, and they keep telling everyone to be quiet so their mom doesnt yell at them. What does everyone do? Start talking and yelling louder.

 

it passes the time when u are waiting for a load or just needing a break from all the trucking BS. and it makes me feel like i have a little bit of home with me lol
