Ed as your road instructor? OH heavens. LOL. I had a guy named Junior, but he is back out on the road from what i hear. Ed is a fun guy. Be sure to ask him to take you all over "Oh $#!T hill" before the week is over.

Ed was my range instructor. Just remember anything that is metal should be "no cracks, bends, dents or welds". Rubber should be "no cracks or buldges" and EVERYTHING is "securely attached".

is his wife still teaching at the academy? been a couple yrs since i've been up there. i'd like to go back sometime with a load to or from Potlatch, just so i could swing by and say 'hi'.

that is funny. my mother carried a big stick too....and she called it "the slack adjuster". HAHAHA

Girlfriend asked me "how is dinner". Told her everything is in order. Fork and plate and not bent broken or cracked. Steak has proper tension, and my beer isn't leaking. Napkins have no less than 1/4 inch of thickness. All food appears to be properly mounted.
Thats when you KNOW you are ready for a pretrip.

Oky Oky I get it do not over correct on backing, lol. My knee is so sore lol. Yep you guessed it, backing has begun and my left brain is arguing with my right brain something fierce.
Yes I have Ed for my road training which will begin next week sometime. He has been a ton of help with backing, even tho my female hormones kicked in this morning and I held the tears as best I could. Buck up girl, its only a truck and yes it does go backwards. But it sure makes it difficult when Ed does it with no hands.
Oh well, I will get it. Thanky everyone for your response, I laughed til I cried and I needed both.
Hubby is stressed again and it is confusing how he can be stressed so much when everyone else says what a good time they are having driving their own truck. Methinks he needs to have a heart to heart with his DM cause zero encouragement equals discouragement. My lord he has only been out a lil over 2 months. Instead of berating him constantly, when he has been working his butt off thinking he is doing what they want him to and getting yelled at, give a lil praise somewhere. He ran outta hours and was told he better learn how to plan his time better. I dont know but from the posts I have read new drivers seem to get help from their DMs not critisim that is not constructive. Any ideas? Or is that just the norm?
