...or road lights, fog lights, whatever you want to call them. What's the proper time to use them? When do YOU use them?
I see a lot of people who have them on 24/7, and others who never use them. To me, it's annoying to have to look at them on another oncoming vehicle when the weather is fine, conditions are great, no fog, etc.

i really hate them with a passion--in my opinion they are pretty much usless--the stock ones i mean---they light up about 3 ft in front of truck --or else into on coming traffic eyes

some (if not all) trucks have what the cars have, and that's "daytime running lights", which explains the 24/7.(head lights)

on trucks i drove, as soon as i pushed in the tractor brake valve, the lights head lights and (fog/driving) would come on. there wasn't any separate switch

I use them when there's no traffic, mine aren't for fog or anything they're to light up as much of the road in front of me as possible, where I drive there isn't a lot of traffic so its ok. I don't care if a car has them as long as they're aligned properly, I find it's the pick ups that have them pointed too high.

No, not DRL's, these lights I'm talking about are usually mounted low, in or below the front bumper.

I really don't care for them, either. Most times they're mis adjusted, so they blind oncoming traffic, or they shine in your mirrors when someone is passing.

I love my fog lights. I have them aimed down and I feel they light up directly in front of my truck very well. To me they make a difference. Very seldom do I get any flak about them. The only ones every to say anything or flash are other truckers. I figure it's just someone who believes fog lights are unnecessary.

I think they can be daylight running lights and fog lights but I also theink anyone who runs them in CAVU (Clear air vis unlimited) should have them rammed in their backside. I have a hard enough time seeing without those. The ones that really irritate me are the pickups, jacked up 2 feet and running them.

Forgot, It is illegal to run foglights unless it is inclement weather in several states including VA.

A man who says he is boss around the house will lie about other things.
