Might I add, after you set the starting point to Set Origin, then you pick your ending destination and then Begin Route.
It should not hurt to leave it on once you leave the truck, the battery is approx good for 30 minutes.
Thanks,
Mark

But, will it hurt the battery to have charge go down a little then recharge it, then go down a lot then recharge it. I worried that like the old nicad batteries it will build up a memory. If you did not discharge them(nicads) all the way before you recharged them after awhile the charge would not last long. Mine 700 lasted about 2 hours when I take it off the power cord. -
Ah,,,, had not heard of that for the 700, but I let them run down all time when testing.. you could try just to let it run down and then recharge them,,,

I found another small glitch. When travelling eastbound crossing time zones, the TND says you are entering the time zone you just left and takes an hour off the clock. This time error lasts for up to 10 minutes until the unit quietly changes the time back to reality. This has happened to me twice in the past few days. I crossed into CDT and it said I was entering MDT, then yesterday I crossed into EDT and it said I was entering CDT. I don't know if it does the same thing westbound (yet). It worked fine before the update though. Weird huh?
Mark Kling Thanks this. -
i got a tnd, and before anyone points out im a ####### i am i already well aware, but i was at the wal mart in flagstaff az and punched in an address for pheonix and it sent me on some freakin forest access roads, im talking dirt single lane, off road trails basically. my question is why the hell are those roads even in a trucking gps? i couldnt even tell you how i got out of there in one piece haha.
but yeah for future reference if your ever out that way and feel like doing some off roading, a 53 footer will fit, if barely. i scared the #### out of a bunch of campers. -
Thanks,

Hi, hope someone can help me....My TND 500 has been working without any problems for about 8 months but a couple of my on screen buttons have stopped working, I was told I needed to go into "Device" and do a screen alignment but the Device button is one of those that no longer works....So how can I get around this?
Many Thanks

In Memphis tn
There are some routing issues if you are going inner city it takes you past your exit and then circles you back to the exit you just passed
Example
1897 harbor ave
Memphis tn
If you are north bound on 55 it's exit 11 presidents island but TND takes you to the next exit and circles you back to exit 11
South bound it works fine it's a north bound issue
That's just one example of about 5 or so similar issue just in the inner city
Thanks
