I called and talked to a recruiter the other day, and I wasn't impressed w/ how they could handle my home time for drill. She was not the least bit supportive when I told her I was in the reserves. She wanted me to see if I could drill in other areas. I told her it wasn't that easy. So i decided to go w/ someone else. thank you for you post.

We had drivers from AR, MS, KY, and AL get medical cards in Memphis to drive for Swift. They didn't have TN CDL's.

I just called my coordinator and was very TACTFULL with her and was told to call my trainier and work it out with him we're they can send me. So I called him told what was up and he said when he gets his next load for me to bus it to that city and that way I get with the truck. I would probly stick it out to get the training since i havent been in a truck sine july 8th and i need to get booking down the the road and make some money. Also I was planning on running team also. I just hope that goes alot smoothier than this experiances...

Yes here in California it is a law. If you have a CA license you must have a CA medical. And also Arizonia I guess is having a stink about it at the scales.

Actually since I'm hired I dont have to pay for it, thats one good thing. I just have my stuff on my trainers truck since they told me it would be no problem to send me there, but that was the problem. It seems Freight is more important than trainees. So he and I have come together and fixed it. he and i will decide where and when i will be bused and tell my coordinator
.

Still no documentation? Imagine that.

Glad you didn't have to pay for it. I guess CA laws are different. I know my medical card has never matched and hasn't been a problem either. Have never even thought about it until I read your post. Hope you catch up to your stuff soon. Stick with it. Good Luck to you!!!

I have been driving for 16 years and I have had physicals from many different states due to whom I was working for. I have never heard of being required to have a physical in the same state as your cdl is issued in. The amount of BS out here never ceases to amaze me... If a state says they require this, I want to see it in writing...
johnday Thanks this. -
