Ugghhhh!!! I'm all set to be in SLC on the 18th and find out that my laminated SS card is not acceptable. I laminated it because it was the original from 1972. Anyway, I'm going to the SS office tomorrow to get a replacement. Anyone know how long it takes to get one? Can you get it same day? Is the certified receipt they give you good enough to take to SLC? As of now it looks like the 25th...

Just stopped in to see if what's happening. Gotta get 1bad up for his midnight run to Atl in a little while. Things are going great for us now that he is home at night for the most part! So glad he is away from Central and being treated like a human again not just another seat warmer!

Just to make you feel a little better about the lamination. "The DMV Frowns upon laminated SS Cards.... Not that they wont except them."

Sorry I'm here in SLC now and there is one guy in my class right now that his is laminated and was told that the DMV doesn't like it but there might not be that pig of a deal. Unless you have your Passport then you probably wont need your SS just saying have all ID docs that you can it is helpful.

If I went any where else it would be SLC. The Sac location is about 20 min from my house, so It works better. Besides it will make the wife happy.:biggrin_25522:
