Bill, just curious as to what school you went to? Was it one of the ones sponsered on Schneider's website? Just looking for some good first hand school info for the southern california area.

    Thanks in advance

I went to Stevens Transport, drove there only a short time and then drove local for about a year.

Returned my truck! in 4 weeks my best was 1900 miles the last three averaged 1300 miles, I can't live on $300.00 a week! Planning is based on the load not the drivers HOS. I sat for 87 hours out of 120, (Sun. thru Thur.) when I did get a load I first needed to do a 120 mile round trip to shuttle a trailer 3 blocks. This used 5 hours and paid $ 37.00 total. That made me take a day longer on the good trip and my daily average miles dropped to 300, not the 400 to 500 that you need this also caused me to only have 2 days before a 34 hr. reset so no good load with only 2 days to run, also had home time scheduled so I would only get 1 or 2 days to run after break. I kept hearing that freight was "soft" and it was FIFO, didn't matter where I was that was the answer to my questioning my sitting for extended periods.
Bottom line is if you sit only you lose as the DBL is rated on the loads moving not you!

This was not a one time problem this same situation occurred at least 3 times in 4 weeks.
