Did some checking around, an upgraded C-13 would cost around 1600.
-
Go ahead, spend a couple extra dollars & upgrade, am curious to see if they live up to their advertisement.

Please enlighten me as to why you would imply that the chassis has something to do with the exhaust manifold cracking?
-
Are your tools broken? You can buy a manifold for around $500.00 and fix it in your driveway.

The chassis is not causing the manifold to fail. Its the configuration of the engine. The mid mount turbo set up used and the steep drop of the manifold flange and where cylinders 1&2 and cylinder 3 meet i believe create a high stress area causing it to crack. Almost every cat powered int. 9400 # safeway dist. center i perform warranty work at had to have the center section replaced as well as the turbo due to cracking. I also had a cust. who had many units with c13's in pete 385 and 378 chassis and i havnt had to deal with a cracked manifold, but the manifold flange drop is different though.JohnP3 Thanks this.
