It just occurred to me, oh, about 15 seconds ago, that Prime seems to hire quite a few Swift rejects. Maybe it's because Prime equips their trucks with e-logs and this little gadget that sends an audible static warning to the left or right speaker when the truck strays to far toward those "rumblies." They even have this other gadget that will beep at you when you're following too close...and stand on the brake for you if you get cut off.

Of course, Swift has an all-in-one gadget that covers all of this. It's called the driver.

Ms. Nana, you make up 3/4 of the "In Crowd" to my 1/4. Can I borrow your pointy stick? BW9 needs a reminder of its presence...Apache style.

I say we capture BW and then tie him over an ant bed with wet leather straps. As the leather dries it tightens and stretches him.

I read a lot of western novels as a child. LOL

And yes you may certainly use the stick.......it's a group stick. :biggrin_2559:

But only I get to fly my broom.:biggrin_2556:

Thank you...he was getting cheeky in the Quit Your Whining thread.

And I thought about my post up a little further...I meant that in the way you draw people to you...but it kind of looks funny now that I go back and read it...*smiles sheepishly*

I'm new to driving with Swift and surely hope that Swift treats there drivers better than they treat the new recruits/trainees.

Well. NO ,I myself wasn't treated badly during the training,,actually quite the opposite.
Had a great time at the Academy, the way they train on the range benefited me alot.

Thanks to the instructors ,I only took 1 point ,(could have zero'd all but took a point cause I wanted to be perfectly straight in my box with a 45)
Learning to zero all my skills in a 10 ft box , then going to DMV and doing my skills in a 12 ft box was like ,,wow, I have a football field to back into,,lol.

My recruiter had informed me on "everything" that I would need,,yet others who came in where actually coming in blind,,alot got sent home on the "GreyDog due to this. This was a little dis heartening to say the least.

But, the attitudes of those in the offices (not any of the Academy personnel) seemed to treat us like diseased cattle and just a number.

I sure hope this changes for the better

Get better?! Are you kidding? Do you realize how many thousands of you they see every week? And from every walk of life no less. It'll never get better.

I think it all really depends on your work history. The euipment of a Tactor Trailer is nothing new to me. I ran them for six years in the Military (Don't anyone start with me about this.) so the euipment is nothing new to me..... But LIVING this is a different ball game. Every hour of every day.. it's different. Depends how much you don't mind traffic or non-existent delivery adresses, non-labeled buildings etc etc..

I get torqued up easily so this job is stressing me to no end and it isn't cool anymore.. But then again, I have been out for four weeks this time.. I'm tired and out of patience.

It depends on the person and how much they don't mind not being home and their tolerance to BS.. If you can put up with it, then you're fine.. But I'm not a fan of Swift right now, but I'll spare you.
