Oddly, KW was $6 for each OEM/Grakon lens replacement and it included a screw and gasket. Iowa80 sold generics for $5 each with no screw and no gasket. So you never know with KW... The $140 hood spring from KW and the $692 alternator was way over the top-Got the same alternator from TruckPro for $450 delivered....big savings

just looked ebay--you can get 5 new round for $70
-
160 for 5 original style--but with led lights
-
$160 for 5 is what I expect KW will come in at. $40 each or so....I think 4 states truck parts has a kit that they sell 5 look-alikes. I think for that I would go with LED..the cab is incandescent and thats OK, since it's easy to reach. I wonder if I open the exit door on the sleeper, climb out and pull myself up on the roof - that might work, at least for getting up...getting down? - Hmm.
-
Shop around and you might be able to find a source for LED lights. I was going to do that to my W-9 but went broke before it happened.
It was going to be SHARP!Hanadarko Thanks this. -
They do make somewhat cheaper 'drop' in lenses that have LEDs so you dont need to replace the entire assembly too...but even that was a bit pricey.
$27.50 each for basic

Geez....I will keep looking of course

an easy way is open door--have seat as high as it will go---step from seat onto stack then hoist yourself up--careful when getting down tho--if come off the front dont step on that cheap black plastic thing on firewall----and if you talk nice to your wife maybe she can throw up the tools that you forget
-
That might explain the broken cheap black plastic thing under the windshield...I didnt break it but most of it is missing when I bought the truck.
:smt102 -
I stood on a tire, then the top of the engine, then the windshield cowl (NOT THE BLACK PLASTIC THINGY) and then up onto the cab roof. The sleeper roof is easy from there.
Coming down was a very careful reverse of the above.Hanadarko Thanks this. -
thats part of the reason i quit pulling wrenches--the climbing up and down everyday--after 20 yrs it gets a bit harder everyday
