I liked the laser idea but...
That Lowe's laser got nothing but crappy reviews. Price was right, but as long as I get the initial center one straight - its all from there...
(almost every said the switch broke on their unit)
I got a perfect eye for a straight line. My old man doesnt. He put up a shelf and swore up and down it was totally level.
I put a tennis ball on it and when it rolled right off the side, the old man just looked at me.....![]()

i am sure not mr level by any means--hated putting anything on that was level sensitive
great fun when we had to decal trucks
not sure what thats going to be like to wire in---do you plan on wire from from markers to the rear ones?
if you can find the wire--its 2 wires encased in a grey covering--that is great stuff---used to use it quite a bit -
I was going to run a feed (Covered 2pair) from the corner of the passenger front area, along the side and into the back.
I can get that front area apart really easy. For some reason, the driver side is a pain. Or, I might take a fish tape and see if I cant just fish forward...but from memory, there are more open caverns along the side. Wiring is one thing I am really good at and actually enjoy. That will be the fun part of it. Presuming the current setup can support 5 more lights. Looks like it will till I snap-crackle-pop a fuse

Hi ok i like myself too be safe, yes you need more then one, and yes if you fall off the truck gues what ,your out work , for how longs , depends on your back injury, or might break a engine piece and have too wait for a part too come in 5 weeks latter, slipping on oily greasy valve cover is not my idea of fun, sorry too rant on saftey ,but its your job and you cant drive a truck being laid up, that all i was thinking about, and so i'm sorry everyboby for my veiws, the jobs are hard too come by these days,

All of the input and ideas are good.....Nothing wrong with comments or suggestions at all. It's all good man!

Scaffolding might be extreme but if someone happened to have some around and hadn't thought of it - it would be an answer. -
your idea is very good everett--and probabely the right way to do things--i kind of always do the quick and lazy way---so i just climb like a monkey --actually on that kw you can go up the back of the sleeper as well--if you have the side fairings--but like everett said--its a long way down if you slip

I got the nice grey jacketed 2 cond stranded 16ga wire....so I am good to go there..
-
not sure what size breaker is for the clearence lights--but it should handle it--especially if you are using led
-
Well if not, I will just stuff a FATTER fuse in there. Right?

I mean if a 10A blows...just jam a 20A in the same spot!! Problem solved!
-
or just wire it direct---makes it easier to find the bad wire----"when it is glowing red"
Hanadarko Thanks this.
