    Tilskie,

That's great. Glad to hear you passed. Enjoy your time in Cali. I heard you have to take the written test all over again in Cali. I hope you don't have to do that.

Good luck on the road and keep us posted.

Yes, thank you. I'm home and starting the weekend now. I plan on sleepping in tomorrow and enjoying the day off.

Hey Dude I am going to answer these the best I can all you other PHX guys and gals please correct me if i miss it.

3 and 1) your recruiter will gather a bunch of past employment stuff from you and verify that you are who you are and then tell you to get a DOT Physical ($40 at swift, free at some other places) then go and take the CDl permit test at the MVD after doing a home study course. Then you will be given a class start date that you will need to bring your License Permit and SS card to.

    2) once you pass an AZ CDL PRe Trip, skill, and Road test (after training) you have to transfer your CDL to the state you live in if it is not AZ. and yes you CDL is good in all 50 states (and Canada and Mexico with proper proper paper work). just has to be from the state you live in.

Hope this helps if your recruiter has anything confusing just ask them or us and we will help.

Can you give more details on this? Like a dummy, I haven't saved any of my paystubs or tax docs or anything! UGH! What exactly do they want?

If you are from Arizona, you will need to have your CDL permit and get a D.O.T. physical from a Swift approved doctor. Call them to get a list. I did mine and they did not take it. Told them I would not pay to have it redone, and did it there for free. BAD recruiter info. You will need the medical long form and small card, PLUS your SS card and drivers licenes.

If you are from Cali, you will need $40 for medical test. You will be schooled and taken down to DMV to get your CDL permit. You get two times to pass. I'm a little lite on what else you need, but I'm sure it would be the same as above.

As for switching back to a Cali license, I have heard that you MUST take the writen test (300 questions) to get it done.

Went good. Got to do some turns in town. Wow, 4 wheelers suck in their driving.
