Think of it this way, As truck drivers we see alot of what the average Joe Public doesn't. Doesn't matter what you think about the lumper situation the ultimate truth is this. It is just another greedy money scam that ultimately gets passed on to the consumer which would be you (Joe Public). So now that bag of Rommie Noodles that you would have only paid 20 cents for now costs you 25.

It is things like this. Too many hands dipping into the pot along with rampant greed and the attitude that the almighty dollar is the only key to happiness that are the reasons for the economic problems and unfortunately it's ultimate demise.

Our so called educated politicians seem to ignore simple history lessons like the one I learned in the 7th or 8th grade where the people in Italy literally had to take a wheelbarrow full of money to the market just to buy a loaf of bread!

Or is it they just don't care as long as they know they control our food & water supplies & God forbid! Our cell phones!:biggrin_25510::biggrin_2555:

I agree that it is a scam and thought it would have been phased out along time ago,the good thing about it is that drivers can make extra cash if they unload the trucks themselves.

It's not a scam..................It's a just a way to bill more money to somebody. When I drove OTR the company billed the shipper or broker. I always had to get a quote and wait for approval before getting the com check info. As I company driver I didn't really care, I didn't pay the fee.

If you want the money, just turn in a receipt for it and unload the trailer. 90 percent odds your company is rip in you off for way more than lumper fees. These fee's have been being charged since day 1. They are considered up front when the loads are accepted. Most of these companies do not care who they pay or if they are legal, or even if the SSN is good or bad. Someone paid less than I think its 2500.00 dollars do not even get a 1099.

Get over and take the money, don't get mad at the guy who makes it possible to get 300 or 400 dollars extra just for the asking...

So then how does the comcheck print out with the persons name or a company name on it?

The comcheck does not have anyones name on it,you can just get the number and put it on the check, then get autorization code.
