Just an update for the three people that are still paying attention...
Went to Flint , MI last night for an early AM delivery. Was ordered into a door, and after three tries and 30 minutes, i relaized a full sleepr cab truck and 53' trailer was not going to get it done. I went to pick my own door that I felt comfortable with. Just then a YSF Glen Moore guy was laying on his horn . I got out of my truck and explained I could not get in my assigned door, and he said he would just trade me doors. Very nice guy. Of curse it seemed a huge problem for the guy inside receiving, but he figured it out. I also hand unloaded my truck today. I made 2x per hour what I could have made driving the same time. The last time I hired a lumper, and it seemed to me it took him longer than I could have done it (he said an hour or two, and I was still waiting four hours later), so I wanted to see if I could make money and finish sooner than the lumper, and did on both counts. I think I will be unloading the rest of my trailers from now on.
My second stop this week was in Oakville , Ontario Canada. I never been past Windosr (to gamble), and never in a truck. Things went fairly smooth. They have the entrance over the Ambassador bridge all messed up, so they have you go around like a fuel island to get on the bridge. I was following a guy who stopped for fuel so I stpped also. I got yelled at on the CB. THe guy said "Hey Schneider, what the h3ll are you doing?" I said "I don't know. I do not know where to go next.I just want to get on the bridge and get to Canada!" HE calmed down and was probably shocked by the honest answer , and said "Then let me by , and follow me!"
Anways, things are seeming better this week than weeks past, but still am dreading being gone from my family this week. I have applied to half a dozen local type jobs with Pepsi and Coke, and another place a poster here put me onto.
Stay safe out there!

Just found your thread and will be following it. How do you like Schn? What kind of truck do you have?

You can read in the post, I really enjoy the time and people at Schneider. I have a 2007 Freightliner just getting broken in with 600k miles. I dragged out repairs and complained nonstop everytime i was at an OC my first two weeks, and since then I have not had any trouble with my truck (in the past 6-7 weeks or so).

Hey raid3r I've been following. Your posts are excellent. Its nice to read about what's going on with sni on the other side of the country. Keep up your posting. You're very informative and that's exactly what newbs need. Its people like you that helped me decide which company to start with a year ago. Thanks and stay safe.
one37 Thanks this. -
I kinda chuckled at your experience at the bridge. I always looked for the cheese at the end of the maze. It certainly could be better, especially leaving the scales, your head better be on a swivel.

I'm still tracking your posts. Kudos for hanging in there!
