wish there was some way to help you---that guy does look a bit a familiar---but then most slimy people have that look--but have never seen that truck in my life before

Sounds like the entire situation sucks....but you did "give him the money"...since you were buying something as a co-owner, you should have gotten your name on the papers too...and gotten some papers to say you were bussiness partners...even if they were written on a napkin stating what each of you were bringing to the venture....
I guess Hindsight is always 20-20, but if it any condolences, with a rig as old and heavy as the one pictured...the guy that stole the truck out from under you is likely having a hard time!! Sure it has all the comforts of a small city apartment...but likely weighs as much too!!
Good luck getting some justice...not sure about what the legal system can do for you up north...but keep your head up...

I've read through this whole thread and visited the website.

Terri, did you realize that on your site, you listed January X, 1010 as the date he kicked you out? Just letting you know so you can fix it.

Poor girl. I liked her Facebook page too. I really hope she can get her money back. Poor girl=(

Thank you for your replies. I am just learning how to use this site. Not very literate on forums. Anyway, the whole cab tilts up, it's on a hydraulic scissor lift. You even have to lift it just to fuel the truck, although it can be lifted 6 inches, just enough to access the tanks. It's all on a push button system, very easy, not the headache that you would think. The wheel base is 244, even though it does look longer. The bunk is 11 feet behind the seat.

Thanks for your support, the only thing I did wrong was trusted someone. I do have all the paperwork to support this, the only thing I don't have is a lawyer. One- I can't afford one, he took everything. Two - he put the truck in a Ontario Company name, I live in Alberta. Three - he is a con artist. Four -I'm sure woman who get raped did everything wrong too. I will eventually find a way to get this guy and my friends know that and have encouraged me to be strong and fightback> When I win and I will, more people will want my advice. And believe me, I do look at this as a learning experience. I see these things happen to people all the time, but (same old story) I never thought it would happen to me. Even Wild Bill was killed!

Love this, never heard it before. "Shake his hand, then count your fingers." I'll remember it for future. Thanks.
