Hey folks, I've been lurking on this forum for a couple of days now, and figured I should go ahead and say hello, and introduce myself. I was a driver a couple years ago, and due to a few rookie mistakes and a company that liked to take advantage of rookies... I've gotten a nice 3 year break from the industry. As times are rather tough everywhere, I figured it's time to try and put my CDL back to use, and put some food on my plate so to speak. I have to say, this forum has given me TONS of info that I wish I'd seen before my first romp through the industry.

Welcome devilman!
Yep, this forum is chock full of information (take some with a grain of salt) and plenty of characters. There will never be a shortage of opinions, that's for sure.
Good luck to you and please keep us posted as to your progress! -
Thanks Gears! Yeah, I definitely know what you mean about taking some of this with a grain of salt. Seems like no matter where you go, or how nice a silver platter stuff is served up on, someone's gonna ##### that it's only silver plated, but that's par for the course.

Welcome Devilman! Good to have you here.

Thanks AF. Glad I found this forum.

Hey Devilman... you sound an awful lot like someone I know. You him?
If so... good seeing you on here man.
I created an account today to track that other buddy of mine who's in trucking school. He's got a whole thread he's using as a journal.

Heh, just saw your other posts about going with England. Now I know it's you; the similiaries are far too close. Good seeing you here.

Or maybe not, just called him up and he said he'd not joined any trucker forums in 24h. Wow.
Crazy world.

LR - Either way, good to know ya man. I'm tryin' to learn all I can to try and make myself "marketable" again in the industry, but with the stuff I've been hearing from companies lately, I may just have to keep beggin' for a job til I run out of breath.
RNR - Thanks for the welcome!
