Delta Force (our son )carries a lot of weight in our state with political animals. All the best, NYSE Melody
well.....ok, i wish you well on this phase his "real industry" may never come back. but i just got to ask, why did he (or you both) think that trucking was going to save you...??? trucking takes a hard hit in bad economies as well with lay -off's, closings, etc. as a matter of FACT, NewPenn may be no more soon, putting some of those drivers out of work. trucking just isn't a "drop off point" to save the house. and this is what many of us do here, TELL YOU about the industry. now given, you may not have ever heard of this site, but many stories ARE TRUE, and some are B.S. an instructor WILL NOT make up stories, so hopefully your hubby is getting MORE of an education than he paid for. yes, sadly, trucking companies can chew up and spit out student drivers faster than you can chew and spit out that rubberized chewing gum(there is no real gum anymore). its the way it is. some survive, others do not. some go on to find another job, some never will and have to find jobs in other industries. this is why i always have to ask, "why is it that when one loses his job, he thinks trucking will save him"....?????? every time the economy tanks, people who "always liked driving, or always wanted to drive, or always liked trucks", go to school to become the next statistic for the trucking companies. the schools, the trucking companies just go on...be cause there will ALWAYS BE a new line of sheep for the slaughter.
Couldn't agree with you more "slaughter". time shut down this cdl mill. Read on another thread he should have gone netts or parker. With the dry baltic goods chart putting in a strong bottom in 12/08 the industry did pick up. And in 09 the chart continued up with a minor beep down in may of 2010. Dry Baltic Chart equals freight moving inside the usa. Belongs with the analysis of the Dow Transports. Thanks for all of your advise and knowledge. It is greatly appreciated. Most Sincerely, NYSE Melody
