I completely agree - I like to keep moving myself. Its funny though almost evertime I have been to Trenton always see the same people sitting there.

Hey I have a question for drivers recently out of OTR training. Did your trainers ride shotgun while you were driving, and vice verse?

Until you have your CDL and the trainer trusts you - he/she will always be in the passenger seat. We ran using the trainer's hours until I got my CDL. Once I did - we ran as a team when needed and then and only then would he ever lay down or be away from the passenger seat.

I cant speak for every trainer - but that's how mine did it.

We're half way through week 3, going out everyday doing our road driving. It's going great. We're going out 100-150 miles or so then heading back. Bill is a great instructor, patient and calm. He has a 1000 and 1 stories but he's a great instructor.

I'm getting stoked about getting out on the road. I requested to go out on the 20th as soon as orientation is over. We'll see if that happens or not.

Bear, I appreciate you sharing your experience. Thinking about getting into trucking too and trying to learn more about Millis. Good Luck!

Well School and orientation are over. Finally back relaxing at home and head out with the trainer on Sunday. Just have to remeber how to drive a truck, lol jk going from a 13 speed to a 10 speed will be fun though. Can't wait to finally get out there.

Like Ryeman said we all made it through and we're done. I think a couple are leaving out today or tomorrow and the rest this weekend maybe. I'm ready and looking forward to getting out there with my trainer and soaking in and learning all I can and work towards going solo. I think we're all stoked to get started.

Bear it is cool you got the trainer you wanted. Just remember to text me the truck number when you get it. Maybe we will catch up on the road somewhere again. Have fun and remeber to keep in touch.
