Vicki is Ed's wife, she's been our classroom instructor and on the range. Ed did a demo of the straight back this morning, pretty funny when he hops over to the passenger seat and has a look outside. He makes it look so easy! They have both been helping on the range. Haven't met anyone named Junior.

Ed is my instructor..really calm but knows his stuff! I start back tomorrow WOOT! Glad to be starting back with hopefully enough range to get that alley dock down pat, and the offset. I passed the offset without a problem but still didnt feel very comfortable with it. Idaho gets to choose which side ya want to back to which really helps. Hmmm think I can drive like Ed by the time I am done? lol
Yeah Vickie is Eds wife. Lauri also does some range, but mostly Ed, Sam and Vickie.
Hubby finally is getting to take that Sims class he needs down in Tx. Then he heads back this way with a load to Wa. Will be very good to see him again, been about 3 1/2 weeks now.
    Luv you gys

Thanky kindly Cookie an for the cheering squad! It will be sooo good to have Hubby back, an I dont mean backing the truck rofl. Dont know how long he can stay, we are hoping they can give him some short hops til I graduate. At least this time I will be ahead of it a lil bit I hope. Been doing alley an offset backing in my head to try to "see" where things go turning the wheel.
    Luv you gys

    OMG NANA!
Thanky kindly yeppers this is the Git Er Done week lol.
I will keep yer stick in the back of my mind. When we did go out on the road before...I had trouble downshifting, but upshifing was fun. Ed says it takes time, lol I think I am at least a 1/4 mile out when I start downshifting for a light, but will get better. Class is all out for the big test today, they should be back soon. Am hoping them well.
    Luv you gys

If I had a dollar for every person that says they have trouble with downshifting on the first day........I'd be a rich rich girl!

You will get it and frankly most people say they don't have downshifting perfect until after they've been out with their mentor for a while. It all takes time.

Heck......as embarassing as this will be to me................I ground the gears like crazy last night during a particular downshifting. 4th gear may never be the same lol *sighs*

Yeah Hubby has driven for years and still has the habit of reving higher when shifting like he did in the older engines. He makes me laugh cause he grinds 3rd an 7th but he says its the truck not him. It could be cause she is an older truck but rides very comfortable an she hasnt given us any trouble. He grinds other gears every now an then, but not to often
He finally got that Sims class done, ran over a dog, but otherwise did really well. Glad it wasnt a real dog.
    Luv you gys
